The Intelligent Transport Systems Technical Committee (ITSTC) tracks international standardisation efforts in ITS. It promotes the awareness and adoption of ITS standards, and aims to encourage regular communications among local policy makers, industry, academia and consumers to establish common ITS standards for Singapore.
Whenever relevant, international ITS standards and good practices should be adopted, in full or in part to meet local demands. Local companies who develop products and solutions based on international standards will also gain a competitive advantage in the global market, by ensuring the system interoperability and compatibility of their solutions.
ITSTC has the following main composition:
Mr Chang Mook Choong
Intelligent Transport Systems Development Division
Transportation Technology Sub-Group
Land Transport Authority
Deputy TC Chairman
Mr Mohit Sindhwani
Head, Innovation & Technology
The TC represents Singapore as an ‘Observer’ or ‘O’ member in ISO TC204 on ‘Intelligent Transport Systems’. It tracks the progress of relevant TC204 standards, including those developed by the Traveller Information Services Association (TISA).
* O-members follow the work as an observer but cannot make any comments about the development process or vote.
There are currently no Singapore Standards under the purview of ITSTC. Users are advised to refer to relevant international standards.
